BarcodeGenerate provides free online tools for generating and scanning barcodes and QR codes. The Service includes barcode generators for multiple formats (Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, QR Code, and others), a barcode scanner, and related utilities.

All barcode generation and scanning operations are performed entirely within your web browser. No data you enter is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Permitted Use

You may use BarcodeGenerate to:

• Generate barcodes for personal, commercial, or non-commercial use
• Download and use generated barcode images for any lawful purpose
• Scan barcodes using your device's camera or by uploading images
• Integrate generated barcodes into products, packaging, documents, and websites

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use BarcodeGenerate to:

• Generate barcodes for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
• Create counterfeit product barcodes that misrepresent products or brands
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to our Service
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of third parties

5. Barcode Accuracy and Standards Compliance

Our barcode generators are designed to produce industry-standard barcodes. However, you are responsible for verifying that generated barcodes meet the specific requirements of your intended use (e.g., GS1 standards for retail products, ISBN requirements for books).

For official GS1 product barcodes (EAN/UPC) used in retail, you must obtain a valid GS1 Company Prefix from GS1 (gs1.org). BarcodeGenerate does not assign or validate GS1 numbers.

6. Intellectual Property

Barcode images generated by our tools are yours to use freely — we claim no ownership over generated outputs. The BarcodeGenerate website, software, and brand assets remain our exclusive property.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated barcodes will be accepted by all scanners or comply with all industry standards.

We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or liability arising from your use of generated barcodes, including but not limited to failed scans, rejected shipments, or non-compliant product labeling.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarcodeGenerate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Advertising

We display advertisements via Google AdSense to support the free Service. By using our Service, you acknowledge that advertisements may be shown. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
